Trick or treat!

Last week we celebrated our first Halloween. My kids had seen all the spook-tacular costumes and decorations filtering through the
shops for the past few weeks and were keen to join in the fun.

The kids had some homeschooling friends over on Thursday and together did some spooky themed crafts. They weaved paper plates with black wool to make a 'web' and turned pipe cleaners, pom poms and googly eyes into little spider-y creatures. They also got the chance to carve their first pumpkin!

Sunday night was when the action happened. By the third house the kids had mastered their 'trick or treat' door knocks. The neighbours loved seeing the kids dressed up - some had even dressed up themselves! Halloween has been declared the "best day ever!". We will see if that gets over ruled when Christmas arrives.
