My super kids

Callum has memorised his first phone number! Not ours (because really you never ring your own home) but his best friends' - they are twin brothers that he went to school with in Hervey Bay. Before we moved away he came up with the slogan 'Wednesday is friends' day' and pinky promised he would ring them every week. For the first few weeks he kept up this tradition - and vice versa too but now their phone calls are all rather sporadic.

He went into his room this afternoon, because that's where the phone connection is (our old house has lots of funny quirks like that) and dialed. He asked to speak to "one of the boys" and as soon as Harrison hopped on the phone he said "want to be in my super hero squad? It's a real one you know. You'll have to think of a name though, I'm Spider and Mia is Lightning and I'm not sure who Lola is..."

Later on at the dinner table they decided to choose new names because they want to be a real super squad and Callum can't really make spiders appear, nor Mia make lightning strike. When forming real teams like this, you can't just go pinching characters or names from movies or games, or so they said. They started talking about each of their strengths; it was nice hearing them complimenting each other. They all agreed Callum was the fastest, Lola is a fantastic jumper (almost cat-like, hence her Black Cat name) and Mia is the best at seeing in the dark so she is some sort of night watcher.
