Sign Language

For the past two months we have all been learning Sign Language, specifically Auslan. Every Wednesday morning Robyn our private tutor visits us at home and teaches us sign. The kids really enjoy it and have surprised me how quickly they have picked it up. So far we have learnt to finger spell the alphabet, count numbers, greetings, colours, animals, family names (mummy, daddy, sister, nanny etc.), and we have just started to learn signs for toys (of course!), different foods, household objects.

I think it's brilliant that the kids wanted to learn another language, and Robyn is just lovely. She has a great sense of humour and is really very patient with the kids... and their short attention spans!
